Аннотация
В публикуемой статье исследуются основные этапы эволюции инновационной политики Южно-Африканской Республики, которая сейчас находится на стадии перехода к конституционной демократии. Автор попытался выявить предпосылки появления новой инновационной системы в стране, а также осмыслить роль, которую играли правительство и новое Министерство науки и технологий в ее продвижении. В статье предлагается и анализ новых тенденций научных исследований в области здравоохранения и сфере услуг, возникших на фоне острого недостатка квалифицированных кадров. В своей работе автор использовал информацию, содержащуюся в политических документах и различных базах научно-технических данных.
